I need advice about starting my first ecommerce site to sell small product.?
i want to get the most for my money and get as much exposure on search engines as possible. should i hire someone to build my website? or use something popular like ebay stores or yahoo storefronts? what is my best option?I need advice about starting my first ecommerce site to sell small product.?
Ah, the decision greatly depends on the product, your target customers and your budget for marketing and design expense.
Here's a great place to ask questions directly related to eCommerce and online marketing. There is also a categorized page with common questions from previous merchants who wondered many of the same things you are asking about.

Hiring someone depends on your budget and your site functionality needs. Do you need something simple or complex. If you need features that are not standard then you will most likely have to have someone build it or learn yourself. If you don't need anything too complex you could probably use an out-of-the-box solution.
I would stay away from just an eBay store unless you already do tons of business on eBay, but the good news is there are other choices.
There's Yahoo Stores, Prostores, Shopify, Wordpress, etc.
It would also depend on whether you would be selling tangible items or digital products.
Here's a good response to your question about hiring a designer ...

using ebay stores or yahoo storefronts would be a much cheaper option. With a website like ebay you wouldn't have to be paying a monthly fee and you only pay for products you have posted online and what you have sold. You would also be more likely to get more exposure without having to spend a lot of money in advertising.
With building your own website, your visitors would know where to find you and you would be able to start building a brand name or recognition. Although you would be paying money for web-hosting, you would have the advantage running your website with www.yourwebsitename.com. But you would then need to spend money in the building and promotion of your website and products.
I would create my own website rather than do the ebay stores thing. You can get a domain, shopping cart, and SSL certificate at http://www.doggydomains.com The shopping cart lets you design a site without having to know all the programming. Alternatively, you can pay to have it designed but that would cost more up front.

Need help shipping on art site, any advice?
I see on the artfire.com people have it already posted how much it costs to ship something to a person already to go so they can do the math to know how much everything would cost. How can I figure out how much it will cost when I send things aroud the country?Need help shipping on art site, any advice?
For art, mostly are rolled up in the tube, and you can use the USPS or UPS or FedEx to check out send it to different zones in the country, so you got a good idea. Some company offers flat rate, so you can just charge them the price of the tube and the flat shipping rate.
If you are sending it with a frame, then you will need to calculate the price of packaging and the cost of shipping is based on weight and size, so do some chart with prices listed.Need help shipping on art site, any advice?

I want to be a vegetarian but I am a meat addict! How do I not fail- any advice, books, sites, stories?
and / or recipes would be appreciated. Should I go veg all at once or stop gradually?I want to be a vegetarian but I am a meat addict! How do I not fail- any advice, books, sites, stories?
Try veggie ';meats'; (good brands are GardenBurger, Morningstar Farms, Boca). They make them in nearly every meat imaginable and they honestly taste great, like real meat! They have ground beef, sausage, chicken strips, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, hot dogs, burgers, etc etc. I've made my carnivorous boyfriend and my dad meals using these products and they both loved the food! (I didn't tell my dad I used fake meat and he couldn't even tell!) Going gradually or stopping all at once both work -- its just your personal preference and what works best for you. Make sure to get enough protein and iron in your diet. For protein, eat veggie meats, tofu, dairy products (cheese, yogurt, etc.), eggs. For iron, I take iron supplements but you can also find iron-rich foods to eat -- I think lentils/beans are a good source. Hope this helps.I want to be a vegetarian but I am a meat addict! How do I not fail- any advice, books, sites, stories?
I personally have little preference regarding brands- I just go for whatevers cheapest! If anything, I'd prefer to get dairy foods that are organic, for example milk that contains no synthetic chemicals, hormones or antibiotics. However, organic foods are typically extremely expensive so it's a bit
of a trade-off... I personally can't usually afford it but if you can, then that would definitely be the healthiest option.
Good job! You're off to a good start! And I'm glad you enjoyed the ';meat'; :)
Most people fail at their diets at some point, so don't set yourself up for disappointment.
Gradually is a great way for people on your path. This way when you have a craving for a Dodger Dog or a Pepperoni Pizza, you won't completely toss the diet out the window if you cheat.
And, you also need to be sure that you are doing it right. If you replace all your Chicken meals with cheese pizza, you aren't really going to be helping that much with heart disease. Cheese still has LOADS of cholesterol.
Just be smart about it, allow yourself some failures, and enjoy life! : )
As far as the blood clots, did you inherit this as well? A blood test should be able to tell you this. This is likely the reason for the strokes - and while poor health aggrevates this, someone who has Hypercoagulability is more likely to stroke than someone without it. If you've inherited this, then hopefully your doctor has talked with you about DVT's and how to prevent clots - like by taking aspirin and remaining active.
Being vegetarian is easy if you're doing it for the right reasons (i've been vegetarian since 13, vegan since 16 and now I'm 20, it was an easy choice for me). Since you are not doing it for ethical reasons it'll be harder for you, but it should be pretty easy still since there is a possibility you could die from a heart attack. Just think of what good you're doing your body and about the end result. And realize you won't be limited to only eating salads and tofu, there are so many things out there you can explore. But, if you don't think you can do it, why don't you talk to your doctor about switching to healthier meats (or only include it a couple times a week) or look into ayurveda and see if that can offer any help?
ps - chances are after a few weeks of being vegetarian, you are going to feel so much better that you won't even want to go back to eating meat. Good Luck!
Why do you want to be a veggie? You may need to ask yourself that question and reconsider. Being a veg and loving meat in my opinion do not go hand in hand. If it is a health reason then maybe you need to change your diet to a healthier diet still including meat. If i loved meat as much as i love being a veggie i don't think i could stop eating meat... (if that makes any sense... I think it sounded better in my head!) I believe that being a vegetarian is a lifestyle and should come naturally and not forced. Any behavior change that is forced does not usually last long. Be careful and do it for the right reasons....
I'm glad a meat eater is making the health-conscious commitment of becoming a veggie! Congrats. Your body will thank you! I have some information for you. I have been a vegetarian my whole life.
Firstly, they do have soy meat products. I know, the stereotype for soy protein is that its gross. NOT TRUE. I have made soy-meat products for many of my meat eating friends and they LOVE it. It may not taste like meat (Having never eaten meat, I wouldn't know.) But it tastes FANTASTIC. It's called FryChik. You can buy it from Central Market, most commonly. Sometimes Albertsons will sell it, but its pretty expensive there.
NEXT. Do you plan on being a lactose vegetarian? (Meaning, dairy products are okay to eat.) Thats what I am. If so, I suggest making a nice Broccoli and Cheese Rice Casserole. The salt in the cheese will help satisfy your desire for meat.
Rumor: Some people think you NEED meat to get your protein. FALSE. You can get all the protein you need by eating beans, nuts, and dairy products. Don't be discouraged by the lies! Humans are naturally meant to be vegetarians. We have flat teeth and long intestines for slowly breaking down plants. (As opposed to lions, who have very short intestines so the meat does not rot in their body!)
Fact: Most of the meat you eat and buy is very toxic to your body. Such as beef. Aside from the meat being laced with growth hormones, you are also eating ADRENALINE. This is because when the animal is being slaughtered, the one behind it is seeing it die. The bovine gets a surge of adrenaline, as it is terrified, and when it is slaughtered, the heart can no longer pump the adrenaline into the kidneys to be filtered. Adrenaline is poison. Eat enough of it, and you will die. Eat a little over a life time and you will die between the ages of 65-75. Not a very old life.
Fact: Vegetarians live, on average, 5-15 years longer than a meat-eater. (Assuming they do not smoke or drink excessively, that is.)
Also, please try to buy a nice Flaxseed cereal for breakfast! You will get your Omega 3's that way, in a very abundant amount! I hope I helped. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me!
Put your mind to it my grandfather is a vegetarian he said u just got to put your mind to it if it runs through the family you need to be careful do it gradually if you prefer but if you cant do that just stop NOWmascara good eyeshadow
