click on your screen name (over to the left, where your avatar is) and then you can see if anyone has chosen your answer as the best and what your points are.How do i know if anyone has taken my advice i am new to this site and don't really know what to do HELP .?
just simply answer a question that you know the answer to or at least have an opinion or an idea about, and you'll be helping other people, by giving them other options or possibly the answers their looking for, if your answer really does it for them, the'll pick your answer as ';best answer'; and you'll be given 10 extra points and they'll write a feedback to it as well.
We were all the same dont worry! Just wait to see if it says you have an answer, if you have , click ';show who starred'; (in blue) and scroll down, There it is. Just a matter of finding your feet . Good luck.

If the person who asked the question takes your advise, (s)he might select it as 'BEST ANSWER'
The number of your BEST ANSWERS are shown on the home page of your profile, you get a mail to the effect as well.
