I want a site for advice and a guide to show how to set up an a health insurance broker office?

All the advice and guidance is available from your marketing reps, the people that work at the companies that are allowing you to sell their insurance.I want a site for advice and a guide to show how to set up an a health insurance broker office?
First off, I set up my health insurance brokerage in 1991. Like many others who start a Independent Agency, I was a Insurance executive.

Advice: Keep your overhead as low as possible, unless you have lots of money saved up and a complete business plan with funding in place. At the end of the day, most agencies fail- the number 1 reason is ';low sales';- as you know this business is very competitive, additionally the profit market after expenses is extremely low.

$100.00 Premium IFP Plan

$8.00 - $20.00 possible Commission (Insurance companies are now paying commission on the plan sold, and also the medical condition of your client)

So lets say you receive

$10.00 Gross Revenue/ Phone costs (800), supplies, computer, fax, website, postgage costs, Errors %26amp; Ommission costs, License costs, advertisement costs (if any), Incidentals.

Like most business's your break-even will probably be 3 to 5 years, if you can last. The best advice I can give anyone is ';you must have a passion for Health Insurance, or a lead source to make it in this business';.

This business is not a ';get rich type of business';
