If you are regularly finishing in the money in offline tournaments then you likely have some good skills, the question is, which ones.

I would guess that you can read people very well. That is, you can watch what they do and know whether they are bluffing, making value bets, or otherwise.

Online you lack all physical tells and are forced to use betting patterns and raw statistics to play a good game. It also requires more patience since you will be playing more hands -- actually it requires more patience since your opponents are willing to play less hands.

So the two things are probably be more patient and improve your raw skills. (We happen to have a site to teach raw skills like outs and odds, but patience you'll have to do on your own)Is there any tricks or advice or site to better yourself on online texas hold em?
Texas hold 'em (also hold'em, holdem) is the most popular poker game in the casinos and poker card rooms across North America and Europe, and online. Hold 'em is a community card game where each player may use any combination of the five community cards and the player's own two hole cards to make a poker hand, in contrast to poker variants like stud or draw where each player holds a separate individual hand.

patience and peversness. pokerstars.net is play money so i know youre lying about big buy ins
I am currently writing a book on the subject of on-line poker sites like Poker Stars and Full Tilt. Here's the deal. You will lose every single penny that you put into any on-line poker site. So don't do it. You are playing in a rigged game on-line. You will see that many people will attack this answer aggresivly. Do not listen to them.Play on-line and be cheated. Play live and win if you are good enough. It's that simple. Here is something that I'd like you to think about before you throw away any more money at these on-line sites. Full Tilt poker has a 90 seat, turbo tourny with an $11.00 buy in. A friend of mine plays these all the time. He looses a couple of hundred dollars a week at them and he is one of the better poker player that I know. Here is why he looses: $10.00 of the $11.00 buy in goes to the prize pool and $1.00 is registration fee, so there is $900.00 prize money and $90.00 goes to Full Tilt. Of the $90.00 that Full Tilt gets perhaps $10.00 is actual profit and $80.00 covers the cost of operating the site. What happens is Full Tilt runs one or more ';bots'; in the tourny and takes some of the prize money. Lets say the server controlled ';bot'; wins $100.00. So Full Tilt now collects $190.00 rather than only $90.00 Subtract $80.00 for overhead and $11.00 buy in which Full Tilt had to put in and now they make a net profit of $99.00 instead of only $10.00. That's what they do and that's why you cant win there or at Pokerstars either. Think about it. Save you're money. Don't be a sucker. Play at live games only.

Playing online is challenging, even risky. There are many sites out there that are simply scams, THere have been cheating scandals at many online sites, Ultimate bet, Absolute Poker, and lately Pitbull poker, so be careful and take it slow and easy.

Online tournament play is a lot looser than live poker, the rules are the same, but the players play differently. There is more chasing and playing borderline hands, and there may be other reasons for this too. There is a lot of speculation about the Poker Action Flop Theory, wherein the sites may set up certain hands in tournaments to generate more chips churning to the lesser experienced players. Here is a link to the article that goes into detail on it. http://www.thedoverpro.com/poker-action-鈥?/a>

Good luck and be careful!
